Is a gun class for women different?

Yes, and the difference is not the material. A firearm works the same way for everyone. The difference is the room. EMPRESS classes are women only. No husbands. No boyfriends. No exceptions. That single rule changes how the day feels: nobody is performing, nobody is being corrected by a partner, and every question gets asked.

What actually changes when the room is women only

Questions get asked. The ones that feel too small to say out loud, the so called beginner questions, are the exact ones that keep you safe. In a room of only women, they get asked early and answered fully.

The pace is yours. We start with the fundamentals and we do not move on until you are comfortable. There is no clock to beat and no one waiting behind you.

Fit and equipment. Everything is provided, and it is chosen to fit you, not a hand that is not yours.

Who teaches it

Your instructor is a United States Marine, a law enforcement officer with more than two decades in policing.

Classes are small, with up to five women per cohort, so the attention stays on you. Private cohorts and larger groups can be arranged on request.

What you need to bring

Nothing. Everything is provided, and no experience is needed. You arrive with nothing but yourself.

Where

Private classes across Central Ohio, serving Columbus, Dublin, Westerville, Hilliard, Worthington, Gahanna, Upper Arlington, Grove City, Delaware and the surrounding communities. There is no storefront and no walk in counter; each class is arranged personally.

Common questions

Everything you might be wondering.

Do I need my own firearm?

No. Everything is provided: the firearms, ammunition, eye and ear protection, and instruction. You arrive with nothing but yourself.

Can my husband or boyfriend come?

No. Classes are women only, no exceptions. That is the point of the room.

I have never touched a gun. Is that okay?

Yes. That is who this class is for. We start where you are, and no experience is assumed.

How many women are in a class?

Up to five women. Classes are small by design; private cohorts and larger groups can be arranged on request.

Safer today than yesterday.
